Indulge in the wilderness

Arrival Day

Arrive in Victoria Falls and settle into your first nights accommodation. This first afternoon is dedicated to the trip's briefing, safety talk and ration distribution. Once your packs are ready, you'll have time to enjoy a relaxing sunset followed by dinner at one of Victoria Falls' vibrant restaurants.

Day 1: Estimated 12km

The Victorian Safari Company will pick you up at 05h00, to go to National Parks Gate to sign in. After signing in we'll enjoy a sunrise drive down the Kazangula Road to our starting point at the 32km peg, where we'll enjoy a quick picnic breakfast before we start making our way through the hillsĀ  towards the first spring lineĀ for lunch. Here, we'll rest in the shade to escape the heat and enjoy a light lunch.

After lunch we'll press onwards to the next spring, where we'll set up camp over looking the spring line and settle in round the camp fire for the evening.

Day 2: Estimated 9km

After an early coffee and breakfast while the sunrises, its time pack up and begin the day's trek before the heat sets in.

Day 2’s trail follows the edge of a magnificent teak forest running east and parallel to the mighty Zambezi River. We'll walk from spring to spring before stopping for lunch.Ā 

After lunch, we'll make our way down an enormous vlei to the Zambezi River, where we'll be setting up camp for the night.Ā 

Day 3: Estimated 10km
Day Three takes you back up the hills as we make our way to an ancient baobab amphitheater. After a day walking through the hills, you'll arrive at a ancient baobab amphitheater overlooking the Zambezi River. Here we'll set up camp for the third and final night.
Day 4: Estimated 6 km
After a relaxed breakfast, we'll pack up camp for the last time. From Baobab Ridge, we will walk eastward towards the spray of the Victoria Falls. As we get closer to Victoria Falls we'll encounter the Lialunga Riverbed, which will lead us downstream towards the Zambezi river- where a luxurious vintage rest camp awaits!
Final Lunch: Eleanor's Rest
Where the Lialunga and Zambezi River meets, we'll find Eleanor's Rest ready to welcome us in for a spectacular lunch on the Zambezi River. It's the perfect time to indulge in a refreshing Pimm's, rest your tired feet and mull over the expeditions highlights while surrounded by the finer things of life; Persian rugs, crystal glasses and silver service. After lunch, you'll enjoy a leisurely game drive out the Zambezi National Park, stopping off for some quintessential safari sundowners as we raise a glass for one final toast to finish off your Zambezi Expedition.
Day 5: Victoria Falls
It's another early morning start as we head off to enjoy one of the seven wonders of the natural world! A private guided gold standard tour of The Victoria Falls Rainforest is the perfect way to end to your walking safari. After exploring the Rainforest, you'll have the option to go back to the hotel or have breakfast at the famous Lookout Cafe. If you are flying home this day, you'll check out of your lodge and head to the airport for your journey home. Otherwise enjoy a day exploring the Adventure Capital of Africa at your leisure.

The following itinerary is an example based on a 4 day/3 night trail walk. Routes are seasonal and dependent on wildlife movements.Ā
