Indulge in the wilderness
Arrival Day
Arrive in Victoria Falls and settle into your first nights accommodation. This first afternoon is dedicated to the trip's briefing, safety talk and ration distribution. Once your packs are ready, you'll have time to enjoy a relaxing sunset followed by dinner at one of Victoria Falls' vibrant restaurants.
Day 1: Estimated 12km
The Victorian Safari Company will pick you up at 05h00, to go to National Parks Gate to sign in. After signing in we'll enjoy a sunrise drive down the Kazangula Road to our starting point at the 32km peg, where we'll enjoy a quick picnic breakfast before we start making our way through the hills towards the first spring line for lunch. Here, we'll rest in the shade to escape the heat and enjoy a light lunch.
After lunch we'll press onwards to the next spring, where we'll set up camp over looking the spring line and settle in round the camp fire for the evening.
Day 2: Estimated 9km
After an early coffee and breakfast while the sunrises, its time pack up and begin the day's trek before the heat sets in.
Day 2’s trail follows the edge of a magnificent teak forest running east and parallel to the mighty Zambezi River. We'll walk from spring to spring before stopping for lunch.
After lunch, we'll make our way down an enormous vlei to the Zambezi River, where we'll be setting up camp for the night.

The following itinerary is an example based on a 4 day/3 night trail walk. Routes are seasonal and dependent on wildlife movements.

What to Expect
The Zambezi Trail Walk is a primitive trail walking experience. You’ll carry your backpacks and rations, and enjoy a few days completely immersed in nature, away from all civilization, technology and all creature comforts.
Home to four of the Big 5, and over 415 bird species, the Zambezi National Park is one of Southern Africa’s hidden gems. From the enchanting teak forests to breathtaking vleis and the mesmerizing Zambezi River, it is the ultimate destination for a walking safari trail.






On your final day:
Lunch at Eleanor's Rest
On the final morning of your trail walk, you’ll walk into Eleanor’s Rest. A vintage rest camp inspired by the romantism of the great adventures of the Victorian era explorers.
As you put up your weary feet, you’ll enjoy a refreshing drink and a delicious fire cooked meal. After lunch, you’ll enjoy a short game drive back to Victoria Falls Town.
